  • Encompassing Music MEASure® is an online proofreading software-as-a-service capability that understands Western music notation, reviews your uploaded composition, and reports specific situations where your notation could be adjusted to meet the expectations and potential capabilities of performers.
  • Encompassing Music MEASure® uses AI-based techniques to apply commonly-accepted music notation Guidelines to go through your composition, and report specifically where there may be issues.
  • Encompassing Music MEASure® Guidelines only represent (hopefully helpful) suggestions. As the composer, you certainly have artistic freedom to "color outside the guidelines" as desired. Guidelines and the analysis performed can be customized for each run.
How Does It Work?

It Acts Like a Music X-Ray

  • By uploading your composition exported from your composition software in MusicXML format, Encompassing Music MEASure® looks inside as a proofreader would and analyzes many aspects of the music data, applying the Guidelines, and reports any suggestions for what is found.
  • A very capable specialized "parallel processing" AI-based music analysis engine applies the Guidelines to the instrumentation, parts assignments, measures, notes and rests, from begining to end with few limitations. The analysis consults a database containing the characteristics of more than 900 (and growing) instruments and voice types.
  • From the uploading your data file to the completion of your report often takes just seconds. The total time required is dependent on the Guidelines configured to be used, the size and complexity of your composition, as well as the number of suggestions generated as result of the analysis.
